A special tip is that both this mall location and their Jumeirah location, 1 hour before closing will offer special bundle deals which equate to more than 50% discount. The pastries do not last till the next day so they at the end of the day they offer a huge promotion to clear all the stock. Which makes for an excellent gift as they are wrapped in a large gifting box or enjoyed at home with family or if you are feeling cheeky alone!
Yamanote Cafe Review
The concept is self service, you take a tray and then select all the pastries you want. Once you finish choosing bring the tray to the counter for the staff to ring you up and package for you.
The soft serve ice cream at Yamanote Cafe is also excellent and a hidden treat. There are plenty of delicious ice cream options at the mall but this is on par with the soft serve ice cream at Eataly around the corner.
Update: the cafe has now been moved to a new location inside the mall, opposite the fountain entrance next to Five Guys Burger in the Dubai Mall. The new location is more visible and centrally located. There are still all the same Japanese pastries with many special snacks.
